Born in Avery County, NC, Senior Pastor Jock Ollis was valedictorian of his high school class, going on to become a Morehead Scholar at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He received his MAT in Education in 1976 from UNC. After a long and fruitful career in teaching and coaching sports, Jock responded to his call to ministry in 1984, and received his Master of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School in 1988. Having served several Western NC Conference churches, Jock came to Muir's Chapel in 2002. He is married to Cheryl, father to Jamey and Justin, and father-in-law to Justin's wife Brandi (plus Papaw to their two Westies...).
 
Associate Pastor Dan Money is an ordained elder in the Western NC Conference. He came to serve Muir's Chapel in 2005, with his wife Kimberly and daughter Kaylee. The only staff member with a couch in his office, Dan can often be found there in a restful, meditative pose. If disturbed, he will assure you that he was praying.
 
Youth Minister Marty Johnson has been with Muir's Chapel for nearly 10 years. He loves working with youth and seeing them take leadership in the Lord. He loves (Alabama!) football and... Gina, Carly, Seth and Donny. Chuck Higgins combines his education in choral conducting and vocal performance with
over 20 years of experience as a full time Director of Music. He challenges our church musicians to strive toward excellence in their music.		 chuck higgins
       
Cammie Berrier is our Adult Christian Educator. In her other life she is a full-time
elementary Art teacher. Cammie and her husband David have a daughter, Lucy,
at UNC; a son, Jacob, at WGHS; and a dachshund, Ricky, at home on the
couch:-)		 cammie berrier   Bob Cox is an invaluable asset to our staff – and a great guy, too :-) He's our Facilities Manager, and also the Worship Leader of the 9:00 Sunday service, featuring the music of Psalm 40.
         
Our Playschool Director is Leslie Martin. She's been at Muir's Chapel for 14 years, is the mother of 2 kids and the wife of one man. Leslie is also an expert in yoga.
Kim Hastings is our Director of Children's Ministries. A graduate of Appalachian State, she's married with 2 kids. She enjoys mysteries (but only reading them).
     
Sandy Cantliffe is our Office Manager. When not at church, Sandy is busy with her many Yorkshire terriers, and her role as coordinator of the Yorkie Rescue of North Carolina.   alison Alison Ludemann is our smiling Church Secretary. She's a graduate of UNCG and began working at Muir's Chapel in 1999. She's been happily married to her husband John since 2004 and has 1 child...her dog Gus.
         
lisa tanico Lisa Tanico, a declared candidate for pastoral licensing, is a certified lay speaker and congregational care minister at Muir's Chapel. She's also the one to fuss at if you don't like the Web site.
Raul Manjarrez is our accompanist. With an undergraduate degree from UNC-Charlotte in Piano Performance, he's currently a student at UNCG, pursuing his Master's Degree in Piano Performance.
